Where we live we experience extremely harsh winter temperatures. We can see windchills up to -40 degrees Celsius if not worse.
George's Cream is the perfect solution for the dry and itchy skin problems that ensue.
Pharmacist George Doherty created George's Cream by using his wife's cake mixer in their very own kitchen over 15 years ago. He didn't want to create a top-selling product, he just wanted to create a product that helped combat skin irritations caused by Canada's harsh winter climate.
George's Cream comes in two varieties. First there is George's Special Dry Skin Cream. It was formulated for lasting dry skin relief. It has been proven to help with eczema, psoriasis, sun burn, wind burn, cradle cap, winter itch, tough elbow skin, flaky skin, etc. It has been recommended for use by many dermatologists, pharmacists and physicians.
George's Light Special Moisturizing Lotion was created because many women had asked for a lighter version of George's Special Dry Skin Cream. They wanted something that could be used daily. After spending 18 months in the lab, the special moisturizing lotion came to be. It still maintains the integrity of the original cream and does not contain any additives.
What is great about George's Cream is that it can be used by people of all ages. It is even safe to use on babies as it is hypoallergenic and fragrance free! George's Cream does not contain Urea, Lanolin or Parabens either. Irritants, fragrance and colouring were excluded from the cream's formulas so as to not further irritate the already damaged skin. I love the fact that I can use these products on my children without having to worry about what is being absorbed into their bodies.
George's Light Special Moisturizing Lotion retails for $10.99 for a 360ml bottle and a 450g jar of George's Special Dry Skin Cream will cost $14.99. (Other sizes are available.) You can find these non-prescription items at your local grocery and drug stores including Shopper's Drug Mart and Loblaws.
To learn more about George's Cream, visit their website at www.georgescream.com.
But wait!

I just try to remember to put on lotion as often as possible, especially after having my hands in water. If they get really dry and start to crack and hurt I rub lots of oil all over them and wear gloves to bed for a night. briannehager@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI try to drink a lot of water, make sure that I am properly clothed whether its winter or summer (I wear a long sleeve shirt when we go fishing and even when I swim as I burn too easily) ...I have a tendency to have hot baths in the winter which I know is bad, so I do try to limit those) I have very itchy skin, as well as sensitive and generally most creams turn my skin red and burn immediately when I put it on. I used to use SarnaP but haven't been able to find it since 2010. My hands can get so bad in the winter time that some of the skin cracks and bleeds. Love Canadian winters LOL

ReplyDeleteGeorge's Cream is amazing. My daughter had dry skin in her hair line and nothing would resolve it until I was introduced to George's Cream.
ReplyDeletei have the WORST dry skin, I am going to have to check this out so that I can see if this helps. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe primarily use Aveeno in our house (my little one has mild eczema) but I have seen George's on the shelves but didn't really know anything about it. I am all about fragrance free so this could definitely be an option for our household.
ReplyDeleteDry skin is a given in our home. I use other products as I am super picky and informed on ingredients so I use a lot of natural based products.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out their ingredients....a lot of toxic stuff is found in most drugstore brands.
Great review!
This sounds like a great product! When we lived in Alberta, my hands used to be so dry during the winter - I'd have to apply lotion daily (or more often). Now that we're in BC, it's my face that is dry, which is really annoying! I don't like putting most products on my face, but this sounds like it would be gentle and light enough to use on my face too. And since my daughters always want lotion when I'm putting it on, I also like the fact that it's safe for them!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try this for sure. My skin is so dry right now and I haven't found anything that really works. I tried one perfumed lotion last week and my eyes swelled shut (guess I'm allergic to that one!). Thanks for the tips.
ReplyDeleteI put lots of nivea cream on my face and lots of lotion everywhere else

ReplyDeleteI have eczema and Georges Products seem like they would be perfect for my skin. I have a real problem with my hands because I have to wear gloves at work and the gloves really irritate them. The things that I find bother my hands are peeling oranges and potatoes or any other type of citrusy fruit such as lemons. I tend to not peel them or get my husband to peel them for me. I also stay away from wool clothing which can cause a flare up on the inside of my arms. I also try to use products that are fragrance free when possible.

ReplyDeleteI use extra moisturizing creams on my legs and dry areas. On my face I almost always use an oil-free moisturizer because my skin breaks out easy and gets oily fast.

I moisturize a lot and drink lots of water. I suffer from eczema so this would be a great win!
ReplyDeleteI moisturize all the time and keep cream by every sink.
ReplyDeleteI drink LOTS of water and moisturize several times a day, especially my hands and feet, and i use a lot of lip balm to prevent my lips from splitting and cracking
ReplyDeleteI am a constant lotion user, always trying to keep my skin feeling smooth and looking healthy. I get a lot of dryness, especially in the winter. I found the Made from Earth Aloe & jojoba Therapy body lotion to be the best for my dry skin - it absorbs well, and doesn't smell to strong. And its super gentle yet moisturizing.
ReplyDeleteIm natural and healthy, so I like that the brand doesn't put any chemicals in their products and they do not test on animals.
I used to be suggested this blog through my cousin. I am now not positive whether
